Solid Strap Mesh

Osro straps are used in unstable ground conditions with seismic activity. They are used to improve and ensure a better connection between surface supports and bolts. These ties support broken ground between rocks by providing a continuous grid between anchor points. Osro strapping has been used in the mining field for many years since its invention, providing on-site support to mines around the world. For example, mines in South Africa have been using osro strapping with welded mesh for long-term excavation support.

Product Description

Jiufu's Osro strap is a rectangular mesh piece that supports broken ground between rock anchor points by providing a continuous grid between anchor points. The osro strap can be fixed with 2 or more rock anchors. on top of the rock, and can be bent at will to conform to the surface of the rock. Since anchors can pass through any point of the mesh, the mesh can be used with any anchor. Osro straps are available in a variety of lengths and widths, so they can be matched with various specifications of other tools.

Composition

Bent Osro straps are made of steel rods, which are steel components used in power transmission and distribution stations, power stations, railways, aviation, radio and television, and other fields. This kind of steel pole is mainly made of high-strength steel, such as polygonal steel pipes, circular steel pipes, etc., and may be treated with hot-dip galvanizing or hot-sprayed zinc (and zinc alloy) coatings for anti-corrosion treatment. Steel poles form aerial support bars between roof bolts or other support systems. During the manufacturing process, indentations formed along the length of the wire provide a yielding mechanism built into the tape. This mechanism allows controlled deformation of the belt, where the support is subject to the dynamic movement of the supported rock.

Installation

The Osro strap is fixed to the rock surface. Rock bolts are installed through the holes between the wires and tightening washers/bearing plates must be used to ensure the bolts do not pull through the gaps between the wires.

Osro strips can be used in combination with shotcrete and/or thin shotcrete to provide support over large areas and protect rock surfaces from weathering.

Advantages

1. A large area of cracked rock can be covered in the air.

2. Can improve load distribution between roof bolts.

3. A variety of lengths and widths are available and can be customized according to your requirements.

4. Accommodates all bolt spacing patterns.

5. Large support areas can be created by overlapping sheet edges.

6. Since longitudinal bars are able to pass through ring sleepers, they allow greater deformation and load distribution.

7. Corrosion protection can be provided by hot dip galvanizing.
